Last weekend, I attended Washington Romance Writers’ annual Hearts To You Reader Luncheon. As always, it was a fabulous event of yummy food, lively talk, and out of this world raffle baskets. Thanks to Joy Harris of Joyfully Reviewed and Barb Batlan-Massabrook for taking pictures because I was having way too much fun and completely forgot to pull out my camera.

Gorgeous New Cover!
Remember Hugh’s Yank cousin Lucy in Secrets of Nanreath Hall? She’s got her own book! THE WAY TO LONDON is due to release September 19th 2017, and I’ve just received the cover art.
I hope to have all the details posted to the website in the next few weeks, but here are pre-order links to Amazon and Barnes & Noble in case you can’t wait…I know I can’t!
Book News!
I’m excited to re-launch the first two books in my Bligh Family series with Wicked As Midnight and Dangerous As Sin. This Regency-set paranormal romance series first launched in 2007 but soon went out of print. Now, with new covers, titles, and enthusiasm, they’ll be getting a second chance at stardom. The first book should be hitting cyber shelves in January 2017 with Book #2 to follow in March. Head to my Books page where you can find out more, check out reviews, and read excerpts.
Newsletter Giveaway Winner Announcement!
The winner of my Turn The Page Bookstore Signing Bonanza that was open to all my newsletter subscribers is…

Release Day!
I’m snoopy dancing and confetti tossing to celebrate the release of my historical fiction debut which hit bookshelves both–real and cyber–this morning.
Romantic Times Magazine called SECRETS OF NANREATH HALL “As fun as a Downton Abbey episode”. If that’s not something to cheer about, I don’t know what is. But see for yourself. It’s available in paper, e-book, and audio.
See You In San Diego!
I’m packing my bags for next week’s Romance Writers of America’s National Conference in San Diego, CA. While I won’t be participating in the “Readers For Life” Literacy signing, I will be at the Avon Open House on Friday 7/15 at 9:45 with lots of copies of SECRETS OF NANREATH HALL. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and say hi!
Early Reviews Are In…
Secrets of Nanreath Hall isn’t due to release until August 2nd 2016 but already some gracious and talented authors have taken time out of their hectic schedules to read it, and the reviews have been all I could have hoped for and more…

“In this compelling and heartwarming novel, Alix Rickloff shares with us two women, mother and daughter, whose tragic and triumphant lives intertwine through two world wars. The story pulls us into the universal struggle of all women to find their places in their worlds. I was deeply moved.” (Karen Harper, New York Times bestselling author of The Royal Nanny)
“Filled with secrets that kept me turning pages to get to the mysterious truth. At the heart, this is a novel about searching for one’s identity. The vivid writing combined with such an intriguing story make Alix Rickloff an exciting voice in historical fiction.” (Renee Rosen, bestselling author of White Collar Girl)
“Alix Rickloff’s debut is a delight – beautifully written with fascinating characters, rich historical detail and an intriguing family mystery that keeps the pages turning.” (Hazel Gaynor, New York Times bestselling author)
“Telling an elegant tale about a mother and daughter trying to find themselves in the midst of two very different world wars, Alix Rickloff establishes herself as an up and coming talent in the historical fiction genre.” (Stephanie Dray, author of America’s First Daughter)
“In this engaging and deftly plotted novel, Alix Rickloff introduces us to two heroines who are […] so memorable and richly portrayed that they all but leap off the page. I loved Secrets of Nanreath Hall […] and I eagerly await more from this sensitive and gifted novelist.” (Jennifer Robson, International Bestselling author of Moonlight Over Paris)
